Playa de los Pocillos

Situated in the suburb of the lively Puerto del Carmen is the little beach town of Playa de los Pocillos.Playa de los Pocillos is a lot more quiet and reserved than Puerte del Carmen even though its quite near. Therefore, it is very popular with families with small children, as night times are generally pretty quiet.
Puerto Del Carmen Holidays

The resort is to the south of the capital Arrecife – 10 miles away – and found on the south east of the island.

Private villas and self catering apartments fill the resort and is very popular with British tourists.Playa de los Pocillos is centred around a long sandy beach surrounded by a promenade where all the shops and restaurants are based.

Local attractions include Green Caves and amazing boat rides on the catamaran.Formed 3000-4500 years ago by an eruption of a volcano, the Green Caves are a must-see.The walk around the cave is 2km  and it is advised to wear strong shoes. It is not advised for people who suffer from back problems as there are parts of the cave walk that require bending down.Being once a haven to slave hunters and pirates, the cave is rich with local history. The Secret of Lanzarote’ is contained within the caves, and we’d love to let you in as to what it is, but we sworn to secrecy – sorry!Hotel San Antonio Lanzarote

Lanzarote is beautiful, volcanic and sunny – there is wind, but this is often balanced by the hot sun, so is refreshing rather than a nuisance.Riu Paraiso

You can stay and chill in your villa or flat, or you can grab a cab for three euros and let your hair down in Puerto del Carmen.
And whatever you do, don’t feel guilty – this is your holiday and you deserve it!  I shall see you there in June then?
