A short stay in central london

I have been a business associate for 10 years to one of my suppliers and he invited me to London. I made similar trips to Holland anf France last year. My desire to visit London was great because I have read a lot about the City when I was a little boy at school. I stayed one week in Russell square and then another week in Victoria for the purposes of visiting the Landmarks in those areas.

When I finished with the immigration desk on my arrival via British Airways, I just got a taxi which took me to Russell Square area and precisely the Hotel Tavistock. There were in fact, a lot of good hotels in Russell square area.

I did not need a second day to to decide that I like the area. I was able to explore the capital with the assitance of my London street map. The City was exactly as i expected it to be. All that I have read about the Capital was very true. In Bloomsbury there is the British Library and the British Museum. I toured both places on the first day. From there and with the aid of my map and people on the street, I was able to navigate my way to Covent Garden where there we a lot of street performers.

For the rest of the week at Tavistock hotel London, I visited the West end area. A visit to west End would not have been a complete one without visiting Oxford Circus and Marble Arch. The London area with the highest concentration of Theatres is Leicester Square. I counted a lot of them when i visited the place. Another place I visited was Piccadilly Circus and found the place to be very busy with many tourists. I paid a visit to the shopping streets in the West End area on my 5th day and was surprised to see that the place was so dense with shoppers and other tourists. There were three shopping streets which were very busy, the Oxford strret, the Regent Street and the Bond street. The China Town and Soho were next on my list and I paid a fleet visit to the area.

I went to stay in Victoria area in my second week as booked through Cheap London hotels agency. I have read a lot about the tourist attractions in the area and wanted to stay and explore. I made my way to The Buckingham Palace to wait to witness the changing of the guard. I wanted to vist the site of the Big Ben and see for real what I have seen in books when I was young. You cannot see the Big Ben or the Tower clock without see the Houses of Parliamnet. Westminster Abbey was also visited that same day at the Parliament Square. I then decided to go and have a look at the London Eye. It is more magnificent than I can describe. I was very impressed with the architeture and will always praise whoever designed it. I enjoyed my stay in Central London and I would like to stay in the cheap hotels in Russell square as they have good accommodation standard but lower rates.
