It confuses me why people argue about which drinks are the most popular and the best. Beer is by far the biggest selling alcoholic drink the world, no doubt about it, it’s not wine! Beer, there is no doubt that it is king of alcoholic drinks, but we want to look at some more specific areas of the world, not the entire planet. So let’s start somewhere random then move onto some larger places:
Cuba is the place of cocktails. The most popular tipple is this somewhat unique country, is called the Cuba Libre. Cuba Libre, this is a very easy and quick drink to make up, with only three ingredients, mainly Rum and coke, with a slice of lime. This drink may be a simple one, but everyone seems to like it. The next favourite is the typical Mojito, a more flavoured but not so favoured drink.
And now to stop at Egypt. Egypt is obviously much larger than Cuba, and many more holiday makers head here. Well for us, in Egypt the biggest selling beer is Stella. Now I know what you’re thinking, and no it’s not the Artois version. This is actually a beer with 4.5% which in my mind is still a strong beer. Heineken brought this drink and it’s brewery in about 2002.
This is the biggy, America. is there one that you have in mind? This beer is a products of Bud, but it isn’t the king of beers. The Bud beer that is king, is actually Bud Light. This is the alcoholic drink that is great for one and only one reason, that it doesn’t get you drunk very quickly. Although Bud the original is very close, it’s little brother is a bigger seller than itself in the States.
So are you seeking for Egypt holidays, Cuba holidays or how about something a little more crazy like Maldives holidays, where you can create your own maybe more odd cocktail?
