Is Florida all about Disney World?

When visiting Orlando a lot of people do go for the Disney World attraction, however you must realise that there is a lot more to this magical place than just theme parks. Although this is a popular holiday destination, people should consider some of the other not quite so world wide advertised resorts.  Consider these American holidays as well:

Some of these resorts are huge and are amazing places to visit. In Orlando this park covers quite a large area, 0.45 kilometres squared to be precise. You can probably guess what you will find here but I will explain. You will learn that there are more than one thousand alligators at this park. The Gator land park is the opposite to Sea World, it is thought to be the other route to take if your not too keen on watching fish. They offer some fantastic events for people to come and watch, including; Alligator wrestling and feeding, always good fun to see, and adds suspense to the atmosphere.

There is the Kennedy Space Centre. If you are looking for somewhere to fill your head with knowledge and experience some awe inspiring sites, you must visit the Kennedy Space Centre. If you have never been and you are lucky enough to arrive first time with a rocket on the platform you should really take in the experience. Not all rocket launches have gone as planned, one of the Apollo rockets being a famous example. All over the Kennedy space centres grounds are crocodiles that have been left in their natural area, they patrol it like security guards. If you have the time then you should try to take the trip to the Kennedy Space Mirror Memorial.

The Silver Springs are another inspiring location. Across the planet these springs are one of the most enormous, they support a whole range of wildlife. It is possible to go on one of the Glass bottomed boat tours so that you can visit the wildlife under the water and see how clear everything is. Much like all of the other resorts in Florida this one too has a small theme park as well. These three locations are Great Orlando Holidays destinations.

Holidays like Las Vegas holidays have over shadowed these kinds of holidays and that shouldn’t really be the case when you have places like these to visit.
