it is difficult to go away at the moment simply because of the worlds money problems. There are other means and they are a lot better than you may first think.
The one thing you could do is save up and go on that family holiday at a later stage. If you are off to somewhere like Disney World then it really isnt that annoying at all. I for one was saving to head off to Islands of Adventure when Harry Potter opens next year but now am forced to wait a bit longer to wait for the Magic Kingdom to do some work on the new and improved Fantasyland.
You could perhaps go somewhere a little bit closer. Perhaps going a couple of states across or (if living in the UK) head to Dorset or Cornwall to experience the countryside and think about staying in a nice cottage for a few days. A small break can really help with stress levels so holding off for that big holiday might not have to happen.
The flights as well as the costs of hotels are not what is just on the minds of people worrying. The prices of buying new summer gear, sun tan lotion, new cases, books and everything you need for your holiday soon add up so be careful and plan ahead. As well as this the airport itself can be very stressful because of all of the new security that has been introduced since the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
Of course once all of this is over you can actually kick back and relax as you are finally there, try not to worry about the journey back and you will be fine. For more tips why not visit a travel blog.
